Contract of Sale (P.Lond. V 1724, TM 19740)
- Scope & Content:
- The sisters Tsone and Tsere sell their one-third share of the (inherited?) house of their great-grandfather to the couple Patermouthis and Kako for 10 gold solidi. Their share consists of a three-room apartment, namely, a room on the first floor, a living room on the second floor, and a roof-terrace on the fourth floor, as well as a one-third interest in another small terrace and in all related appurtenances. Kako's father Iakobos already owns a bedroom on the third floor. A man acts as guardian for each of the women — Isakos for his wife Tsone, and Ioannes alias Kattas of the monastery of Pampane for the minor Tsere.
