- Letter of the governor Qurrah ben Sharik to Basilius, pagarch of Aphrodito, with the order to collect and dispatch seven solidi from his administrative district for the freight of the ships that had conveyed requisitions. The back bears the address, the date, the name of the courier and the summary. P.Ross.Georg. IV 10 and P.Berol. inv. 25039 preserve further portions of the letter.

- Central portion of a medium-dark brown papyrus roll; written on both sides. The front bears the mid portions of 14 lines running against the fibres; on the back, there are two lines written along the fibres upside down in relation to each other. The left-hand portion of the same papyrus is now at the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, inventoried as 13337 f and published as P.Ross.Georg. IV 10; the right-hand portion, from line 6 on, is now in Berlin (P. 25039). The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame, with a small opening for the text on the back.

Provenance: Aphrodito, Antaiopolite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1200-1520 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 20 November 1903.
