The File contains minutes of multiple meetings of the British Indian Association held between the years 1938 to 1944. Hand written and typed minutes book.
Extent and format of original material: 1 bound volume 168 folio 1 leaf.
Physical characteristics: Pages 2 to 18, 21 to 237, 386 to 391. Pages 267 to 383 are missing. Irregular pagination on the typed pages which cannot be defined in relation to the rest of the volume. The item contains both handwritten and typed pages. The pages are extremely fragile, acidic, moth-eaten, torn and quite damaged. Marks from foxing and exposure to moisture are visible. The spine is damaged. Some text is lost due to the nature of binding. The item has been restored. Some pages could not be photographed due to the extent of damage. Pages 19 and 20 are pasted together. There is writing in pencil. Measurements (in cm): 32. 8 x 20. 8 x 4 (with cover), 32. 4 x 20. 4 x 3 (without cover).
