The File is a volume containing various copies of the newspaper The Hindoo Patriot.
Extent and format of original material: One bound volume with 282 folio 1 leaf.
Physical characteristics: Pages 1 to 47 are pasted. Then, pages 63 to 182, 1 to 2, 183 to 186, 3 to 6, 187 to 420, 1 to 8, 421 to 486, 1 to 4, 487 to 606, 1 to 2. The volume is incomplete. The pages are moth-eaten, brittle and dusty. Marks from fungal infestation, foxing, and exposure to moisture are visible. The edges of the paper are damaged. Some pages are loose. Both front and back covers are missing. Dur to the pasted pages, data is lost. There is text is Bengali and Devnagri. Monthly supplements, such as the ones on pages 1 to 4 often occur throughout the volume. The item has been restored. Measurements (in cm): 41. 5 x 26 x 4 (without cover).
