The File is an issue of the newspaper, The Englishman spanning the months of September to October in the year 1922.
Extent and format of original material: One bound volume with 376 folio.
Physical characteristics: Pages are dusty, brittle, acidic and yellowed. Foxing marks, reverse impressions and marks from the item's previous exposure to moisture and fungal infestation are visible. The spine is loose. The print is faded. Pages had been pasted. Some pages had become folded. The pages have been bound in a crooked fashion. Both front and back covers are missing. Text has been lost due to the extent of damage. Dimensions (in cm): 57. 5 x 44 x 5.
