  • 1, pp. 1-12 (22.5 x 18.5 cm.). Extracts from the Wukaea Sunoat, or yearly events of the reign of Sha Jehan, relative to Saou, the father of Sewagee, Founder of the Mahratta Empire. Signed, C. W. Malet, Bombay, 6 January 1784.
  • 2, p. 13 (22.5 x 18.5 cm.). Two couplets cut in stone over the gates of Beder.
  • 3, p. 14 (22.5 x 18.5 cm.). Inscription over the eastern gate of the Fort of Gizera.
  • 4, p. 15 (22.5 x 18.5 cm.). Inscriptions on a Coin of Tippoo Sultaun.
  • 5, p. 16 (22.5 x 18.5 cm.). Extract from the Records of the annual events of the reign of Sha Jehan, relative to the Mausoleum near Akberabad. Signed, C. W. Malet, Bombay, 12 Jan. 1785. The Mausoleum referred to is the Taj Mahal.
  • 6, pp. 17-24 (22.5 x 18.5 cm.). Letter, dated Bombay, 8 Jan. 1785, from C. W. Malet to Orme, with postscripts of the 10th & 12th Jany. Original. Refers to Orme's publication of a History of Sevagi (see 298 (b). 1 above); forwards the above papers, and explains their importance; encloses a sketch of Bombay Harbour and environs. This sketch is lacking, though possibly an authorized edition by the Surveyor, Captain Reynolds, was sent home.
