- Acknowledgement of Debt (P.Lond. V 1721, TM 19736)
- Scope & Content:
- A person, whose name is lost due the fragmentation of the papyrus, records a half-solidus increase in his pre-existing debt to someone else, and indicates his readiness to pay it by the month Payni. Since he describes it as interest, perhaps it is in lieu of an interest payment which he failed to pay. The document belongs together with P. Lond. V 1719 and P. Lond. V 1720, and perhaps the creditor here is the same as the Syene citizen mentioned in the former one.
