- Scope & Content:
- Copy of the agreement between Philantinous alias Nilammon and his brother Lysimachus concerning Martilla, the female slave that Philantinous had pledged to a creditor (see Papyrus 1983). Philantinous agrees to produce a copy of the hypothecation to prove that he had pledged only one-third of the girl; should he fail to do so, he undertakes to pay a fine.

- Papyrus sheet, incomplete, broken off at the bottom and left, and badly riddled with insect holes; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. On the front, portions of 20 lines survive, lacking the beginnings. The column breaks off at the bottom. Vertical folds are still visible. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
