- Receipts arranged in two columns from Herakleia alias Arsinoe, through her brother Marcus Aurelios Didymos alias Alexander and her father Herakleides alias Didymos. Herakleia acknowledges that she has received the alimony and clothing for her son Iulius alias Herodes from Philosarapis son of Lysimachos, guardian of the minor, over various years. Papyri 1878 and 1950 are other receipts for the alimony of Iulius alias Herodes, written in the same hand.

Square-shaped papyrus, medium-brown, complete but riddled with holes throughout and with surface damage; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. On the front, there are two column of 23 and 32 lines, mutilated in places; margins are extant, with no space having been left on the right.

Dimensions: 220 x 247 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 270 x 305 mm.
Script: Skilled, but somewhat inelegant cursive hand, same as Papyrus 1878 and Papyrus 1950.

Provenance: Tebtynis, meris of Polemon, Arsinoite nome, Egypt (?). Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1873-2016 from Ali Abd-el-Haj on 15 May 1911.
