1.Author:Title: [Lung chung]Incipit: Rf.1r.1//mtha' yas pa'i sems can thams cad/ShortChantreatise on the method of "gazing at the mind" (rang gi sems la bltas). Extracts from this text are quoted three times in [STMG] 144.4and [STMG] 160.1and [STMG] 172.2under the titleShort Scripture(lung chung). This is substantially the same text as [BL] IOL Tib J 689, although it omits the last six lines of that text. As first noted in [Okimoto_1979] , a version of this text is also the root text for the commentary found in [Lalou_1939] 699. Thus there are three extant versions in all. There are minor differences between the three: [BL] IOL Tib J 689has six more lines at the end of the text, and [Lalou_1939] 699adds a further line claiming that the work is one of "Ati[-yoga]" (a ti yin no--see [Lalou_1939] 6995a.2). The commentary on this line compares the qualities of the teachers of sutra, tantra, andAtiyoga, making it a significant example of the possible interactions betweenChanand early Atiyoga. This issue is discussed in [Meinert_2002] and in [van_Schaik_and_Dalton_2004] .

The writing style is somewhat different from the previous folios. Nevertheless, it appears that this text may begin with the last line of folioRf.2v, which is still in the earlier hand.
