Customs-house receipts, acknowledging payments made by individuals passing the gate of Soknopaiou Nesos and, in one case, of Philadelpheia.
Upper left papyrus (P.Lond. III 1265(a), TM 11775): Receipt acknowledging the payment of customs-dues made by Satabous. Dated 1 February 83. With seal displaying a small head, facing to right, with the year on either side, and title of the emperor (TM Seal 1042).
Second papyrus from left (P.Lond. III 1265(b), TM 11776): Receipt acknowledging that Satabous paid the customs dues at the gate of Soknopaiou Nesos on account of the tax for the harbour of Memphis. Dated 1 February 83. With original seal (TM Seal 1043).
Upper right papyrus (P.Lond. III 1265(c), TM 11777): Receipt acknowledging the payment for the 1 and 2% tax made by Stotoetis at the gate of Soknopaiou Nesos on account of the oil he was transporting on one donkey. Dated 9 July 149.
Lower left papyrus (P.Lond. III 1265(d), TM 11778): Receipt acknowledging the payment for the 1 and 2% tax made by Panouphis at the gate of Soknopaiou Nesos on account of the oil he was transporting. Dated 20 September 149.
Second papyrus from left (P.Lond. III 1265(e), TM 11779): Receipt acknowledging that Diogenes paid the 1 and 2% tax at the gate of Philadelpheia for export. Dated 16 September 147.
Lower left papyrus (P.Lond. III 1265(f), TM 11780): Receipt acknowledging that Sarapion has paid the 1 and 2% tax at the gate of Soknopaiou Nesos for exporting wheat on three camels and two foals. Dated 2 February 177.

Six small papyrus sheets, written on one side, the back being blank; housed in the same glass frame.
Upper left papyrus (A): With surface damage; 6 lines running along the fibres; margins minimal with the exception of the lower; with original clay seal at the bottom.
Second papyrus from left (B): With surface damage; 6 lines running along the fibres; margins minimal with the exception of the lower; with original clay seal at the bottom.
Upper right papyrus (C): Imperfect on the right and with surface damage; 8 lines running along the fibres and lacking the ends; upper, lower and left margins are extant.
Lower left papyrus (D): Riddled with holes and abraded; 9 lines running along the fibres; margins are extant and minimal.
Second papyrus from left (E): Complete but badly abraded; 7 lines running along the fibres; margins are extant.
Lower left papyrus (F): Complete, with surface damage in places; 7 lines running along the fibres; margins minimal with the exception of the lower.
