Astronomical tables (‘Handy Tables’).
Fragments 1+2 recto, 3 recto and verso and 6 verso: Four groups of tables, each relating to three zodiacal signs or one quadrant.
Fragments 1+2 verso: table with rising times and climates I and II.
Fragment 4: Tables for Saturn. Possibly from another codex.
Fragment 5 recto: Table of geographical locations arranged in six zones of longitude on the basis of the seven climates and time difference from Alexandria.
Fragment 5 verso and Fragment 6 recto: Table relating to geographical latitude.

- Six fragments of varying size from four leaves of a papyrus codex; fragments 1 and 2 join. Fragment 4 may come from another papyrus codex; written on both sides, along and across the fibres, and preserving various columns with ruled lines in red forming tables. The fragments are housed in one glass frame.

Materials: Papyrus.
Dimensions: Fragments of varying size; largest: 128 x 76 mm. Housed in a glass frame measuring 360 x 230 mm.
Script: Two hands, rounded hand in paler ink in fragment 4, while the other fragments are in a smaller and more compressed hand, somewhat rough and informal. Red ink used.

Provenance: Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1200-1520 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 20 November 1903.
