- Scope & Content:
- Fragmentary petition to Gaius Iulius Pholus, chief of police (epistates phylakiton), from a certain Menches, farmer in the estate of Decimus Valerius Asiaticus, concerning the theft of a piglet worth 16 drachmas. The petitioner asks the recipient to write to the archephodus (chief of village police). Dated to 24 January 39 or 41, or 25 January 40.

- Left-hand portion of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, with some holes in places. The front bears the beginnings of 16 lines running along the fibres, with blank space between lines 15 and 16. Upper, left and lower (110 mm) margins are extant; a sheet-join runs from top to bottom at 13 mm from the left edge. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
