- Nearchus describes to Heliodorus his sightseeing journey up the Nile: he arrived at Syene, then went to Libya and visited the oracle of Ammon; he also carved the names of the dear ones on the monuments. The address of the letter is on the back.

- Extent:
- Papyrus sheet, medium-brown, lacking part of the top, with some holes and abrasion in places; written on both sides. The front bears 12 lines running along the fibres, some of which are damaged; traces of another line are visible at the bottom. Lower and left margins are extant, the upper is damaged; no margin was left to the right. The back bears one line written along the fibres in the upper half of the sheet and lacking the beginning. The papyrus is housed in glass frame.
