Portion of a letter; the names of the correspondents are lost. The writer, who is staying in Alexandria, states that he will not come to the Arsinoite nome unless the recipient promises that he will not suffer any injurious treatment, as had happened on his last visit. A detailed address for future correspondence is given. Greetings to members of the recipient’s family conclude the letter.

Papyrus sheet, medium-brown, paler by patches, with some insect holes at the top and bottom and minor abrasion in places; broken off to the left; bearing writing on both sides. On the front, there are two columns written along the fibres, the first of which is very fragmentary, while the second is complete and comprises 24 lines; upper, lower and right margins are extant. On the back, there is another column written across the fibres; one line was erased. Folding lines are still visible. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
