Claims to the High Court of Justice, Queen’s Bench Division No.397 of 1892 and No.2526 of 1896: between Thomas Giles Pudan (Plaintiff), and the Secretary of State for India in Council (Defendant).
These claims relate to the dismissal of Mr Pudan from his role as District Travel Superintendent and the value of his pension. Claim No.397 of 1892 was for wrongful dismissal, and was settled by a payment of £1500. Claim No.2526 of 1896 relates to the calculation of Mr Pudan’s pension. The court found in favour of the Defendant; a further appeal was then made to the Royal Courts of Justice and dismissed.
