Aurelius Theognostus alias Morus writes to the keepers of the public archives of Hermopolis to register one-third of a house with courtyard and all appurtenances bought by him from his brother Isidorus and inherited from their paternal uncle; with subscriptions at the end. A series of large crosses concludes the document. P.Lond. III 947 I (d, f) are fragments from copies of the same text.

Papyrus sheet, complete but with a few holes and abrasion mostly affecting the left-hand side; bearing writing on one side, the back being blank; on the front, there are 18 lines running along the fibres; all margins are extant; the right margin is minimal and the lower is ample (110 mm). Folding lines are still visible. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Dimensions: 252 x 150 mm; housed in a glass case measuring 310 x 205 mm.
Script: Thin cursive hand with a slight slant to the right for the body of the document. Three hands for the subscriptions from line 14.
