Ancient document containing disolution of marriages from page 1 to 12 by the Chief Justice and Judicial Assessor dated 20 Jan 1860 - 22 Nov 1865; Instrument of Deeds (Indentures, memorandum of agreement etc. Three different materials documented in one volume.
Extent: Bound Volume Book 6 numbered 1-12; 1-317; 36 Fragments.
Condition of original material: Worn stitching; loose fragments; chemical damage.
Custodial history: The Governor of the Gold Coast colony enacted an ordinance for the registration of instruments dated 24th March, 1883 and cited as Registration Ordinance number 8 of 1883. Registry Office was established in Victoriaborg - Accra and Cape Coast to execute instruments for registration by the Registrar, which instruments include Wills, Letters of Administration and Grants affecting Lands registration, etc.
