Letter of Horus to Pemenes, informing him that the swineherd Herienouphis refuses to pasture the swine until he receives his wages for the past four months. Pemenes is asked to notify Zenon so that he may send the salary. The swine are dying of hunger, and Zenon should send another man to pasture sixty pigs. The address is on the back.

- Medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete and overall well preserved, with slight damage along the folds; bearing writing on both sides. On the front, there are 30 lines written along the fibres; all margins are extant, the right being minimal. On the back, there is a word written across the fibres the other way up in relation to the text on the front. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Script: Medium-sized uncial hand, upright and thin, slightly uneven. Last line of the recto is smaller and more cursive

Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2652-2721 from Dr. A. N. Kondilios in July 1925. Part of a joint purchase with the University of Michigan and Columbia University.
