Two papyrus fragments housed in the same glass frame.
A: Medium-brown, broken off at the bottom and right; bearing writing on both sides;. On the front, there are the beginnings of 3 lines running across the fibres; upper and left margins are extant. On the back, there are 2 lines written along the fibres the other way up in relation to the text on the front.
B: Light-to-medium brown; broken off at the top and left; preserving two letters from the ends of two lines written along the fibres on the front; lower and right margins are extant and generous; a trace of ink is visible on the back.

Dimensions: A: 52 x 89 mm; B: 73 x 56 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 180 x 145 mm.
Script: A: Recto: Medium-sized, rather untidy uncial hand, occasionally ligatured; Verso: Smaller and more cursive hand. B: The two letters that survive are thin, upright and well-formed.

Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2741-2783 from Dr A. N. Kondilios in December 1926. Part of a joint purchase with the University of Michigan and Columbia University.
