Didactic Gospel is a collection of sermons on the whole year, beginning from the Sunday of the Publican and Pharisee. It is known several different types of such sermon miscellanea. This manuscript was written in the first half of the 17th century; it has text similar to the didactic Gospel, published in Zabludov in 1569. Researchers usually connect the composition of the miscellanea published in Zabludov with the name of Constantinople patriarch Nikephoros Kallistos Xanthopoulos. Probably the manuscript is a copy of this printed specimen. The manuscript has a note of scribe named Pan Porphyrij about saling the book after scribing. Unfortunately the note is mostly erased.

Учительное Евангелие - сборник поучений на весь год, начиная с Недели о мытаре и фарисее. Известно несколько сборников такого типа, приписываемых разным составителям. Данная рукопись была написана в первой половине 17 века; рукопись содержит текст, сходный с печатным изданием Учительного Евангелия, выпущенным в Заблудове в 1569 г. Составление Учительного евангелия, выпущенного в Заблудове, традиционно связывается исследователями с именем Константинопольского патриарха Каллиста Ксанфопула. Рукопись имеет запись писца пана Порфирия о продаже, большей частью стертую.

Extent: 1 volume containing 481 folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: Height 30 cm, width 18,5 cm, depth 11,5 cm.

Condition of original material: The manuscript was restored. The binding was pasted up by leather-cloth. The folios are glued with restoration paper. The beginning of the manuscript is absent. The last folio 481 is turned over by mistake before it was sewn in the manuscript. The note of the manuscript's owner is erased.

Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1965.
