Scope & Content:

Pentecostarion is a liturgical book used during Easter period from the Easter to the second Sunday after Pentecost. It contains three Odes for every day, and canons for some great feasts. This manuscript was written in the third quarter of the 16th century. There is a note about contributing the book to the New Lake monastery in 1673 (f. 22-42). There are also fragments of the monastery's documents of the end of the 17th century, put in the book. In the 20th century it belonged to Old Believers and was used by them in church services.

Триодь цветная - литургическая книга, использующаяся в пасхальный период от Пасхи до второго воскресения по Пятидесятнице. В ней находятся трипеснцы на каждый день, а также каноны на некоторые особо чтимые дни церковного календаря. Рукопись была написана в третьей четверти 16 в. На л. 22-42 сохранилась вкладная запись 1673 г. о вкладе Триоди в Новоезерский монастырь. Также в рукопись вложены обрывки монастырских документов кон. 17 в., относящиеся к тому же монастырю. В 20 в. рукопись принадлежала скрытникам и использовалась ими в богослужении.

Extent: 1 volume containing 303 folios and 3 fragments of documents.

Size and dimensions of original material: Height 27 cm, width 18,5 cm, depth 8,5 cm.

Condition of original material: Manuscript was restored in the Library in 1966. It got new leather back; the folios were glewn by restoration paper.

Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1965.
