An original text, written by Vyg old believers teacher Simeon Denisov, is a set of stories about the life and martyrs of Russian orthodox christians, who remained true to old church rules after the 17th century Russian church reforms. At the beginning there is a story about the author of the text Simeon Denisov and a story of the patriarch Nikon. The stories are collected in parts in accordance to the territorial principle.
Оригинальное произведение старообрядческого выговского наставника Симеона Денисова представляет собой подборку повествований о жизни и страданиях русских православных христиан, которые после проведения в России в середине XVII в. церковных реформ остались приверженцами старого церковного обряда. В начале книги находится история жизни автора книги Симеона Денисовича и история жизни патриарха Никона. В книге рассказы о страданиях собраны в разделы по географическому принципу.
Extent: 1 volume with wood in material binding with 1 frog containing 293 folios .
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 18,6 cm, width 10,8 cm, depth 5,3 cm.
Condition of original material: The material of the binding is cut on egdes of boards, connections of the boards and back are not good.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1962.
