Scope & Content:

Aprakos is a liturgical book with Apostle or Gospel readings disposed according to church circle of service, beginning from the Easter. It is impossible to service a liturgy without Aprakos. This manuscript contains readings of both Apostle and Gospel. It was written in the second half of the 19th century. The fragment includes texts from the Easter to the second Sunday after Easter (the Sunday of Foma).

Апостол и Евангелие апракос являются богослужебными книгами, в которых чтения расположены по дням церковного календаря. Без Апостола и Евангелия апракос совершение богослужения невозможно. Данная рукопись совмещает в себе чтения двух важнейших книг Священного Писания. Она была написана во второй половине 19-го века. Фрагмент сохранил чтения на Пасху, Светлую неделю и Фомину неделю.

Extent: 25 folios sewn together.

Size and dimensions of original material: Height 18 cm, width 11 cm.

Condition of original material: The binding is absent; folios are sewn together. The end of the manuscript is lost. The last sheet (f. 25) is ragged.

Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1965.
