The manuscript includes a homily of Evagrius monk (Pontiéskié) on chastity and abstention. The scribe wrote by mistake that the homily should be read on the 14th of November. In fact it is included in the Prologue on the 4th of November and is typical to the didactic part of this middleage calendar collection. The homily on abstention is an important text for Christian morality, in which the main rules and advises about the behavior and Christian life are given.
Рукопись включает текст слова Еваргия мниха (Понтийского) о целомудрии и воздержании. В рукописи ошибочно указано, что слово читается 14 ноября. В действительности оно включено в Пролог под 4 ноября и типично для учительной части этого календарного средневекового сборника. Слово о воздержании представляет собой важный для христианской морали текст, в котором даются основные указания и конкретные советы по поведению для построения христианской жизни.
Extent: 1 volume containing 16 folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 17,3 cm, width 11 cm, depth 0,2 cm.
Condition of original material: The manuscript has not binding. The first and the last folios are durty.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1965.
