Scope & Content:

The manuscript includes a service of layman confession with questions from the confessor to repentant about different sins. The manuscript was written in the beginning of the 20th century on a machine paper with a stamp "Mills of heirs of Sumkin". A folio with the text of the Gospel of John the Theolog, read to the pentant, is put in the manuscript.

Рукопись включает чин исповеди мирян, в том числе вопросы священника о различных грехах. Рукопись написана в начале 20 в. на бумаге машинной выделки со штемпелем "Фабрики наследников Сумкина". В рукопись вложен листок с выписанным на нем текстом Евангелия от Иоанна, которое читается кающемуся.

Extent: 1 volume containing 33 folios and 1 additional folio.

Size and dimensions of original material: Height 16,5 cm, width 11 cm, depth 1 cm.

Condition of original material: The leaves are sewn together with a binding but now some threads are torn so the stack is beginning to separate from the binding.

Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Old believers in Kargopol district in 1967.
