The manuscript includes the 17th kathisma without the end. Kathisma is a part of Psalterion which was delivered into 20 parts in Byzantium. These parts or kathismas let to organize a regular reading of Psalterion in service and in domestic praying. Everyday reading of Psalterion according to kathismas has a particular significance for commemoration of deceaseds during 40 days after death. Kathisma 17 has the most significance as it is intended for reading on the most important commemorational days: the third, the ninth and the fortieth days after death. It may be read on other days in praying about deceaseds indeed. There are final prayers about deceaseds in the end of the manuscript. It was written in the beginning of the 20th century as its paper has a stamp "Mill of heirs of Sumkin".
