The miscellanea was written by 14-years old boy Prohor Vasiliev Grinev, who was an old believer - strannik. The scribe was later killed during the II world war. The book includes 11 so called sacred poems: some of them are known from middle-age Russian tradition, some were created by old believers. There is a sacred writing "The word very usefull for a soul" in the collection too. The manuscript was brought from the village Okulovkskaīā, Kargopol region, Arkhangelsk district.
Сборник написан 14-летним мальчиком старообрядцем-скрытником Прохором Васильевым Гриневым, который позже погиб во время Второй мировой войны. Книга включает 11 так называемых духовных стихов: некоторые из них относятся к русской средневековой традиции, некоторые созданы старообрядцами. В сборнике находится один прозаический духовного содержания текст "Слово зело полезно". Рукопись происходит из деревни Окуловская Каргопольского района.
Extent: 1 volume with restored cardboard binding, containing 36 folios. There is one additional separate folio written by scholar Alexander Kopanev with an information about receiving of the manuscript.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 18.6 cm, width 11,9 cm, depth 0,7 cm.
Condition of original material: The manuscript was restored in 1968. A new binding from cardboard was made. All folios were pasted up.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1968. The book was presented by old believer - strannitcha Maria Ivanovna 3.06.1968, an aunt of the scriber.
Scribe(s): Old believer - strannik 14years old boy Prohor Vasiliev Grinev. The scriber was killed during the II world war.
