The set includes 4 pictures and 11 proresies (patterns of the images for copying) made by a 14 years old Prohor Vasiliev Grinev, who was an old believer - strannik. The boy was later killed during the II world war. The pictures represent Gospel's and patristic images and topics; the patterns - partly the same material, partly - decore fragments: 1. a contour picture in water-colour partly. Its plot is Pentecost, as it is named in the inscription; 2. a contour picture in water-colour. Its plot is Deesis: middle age Christ with martyrs "Antipa" (signed) and "Irina damsel" (signed), bouth with twofingers for praying. On the back of the folio is the Theotokos with tree hands; 3. a pencil picture in water-colour and colour pencils (?). Its plot is: a pigeon with a flower is sitting on the tree's branch ; 4. a contour ink picture in water-colour. Its plot is "St. Longin centurion" according to the inscription; 5. a contour prores-pattern of the images of great martyr Irina and great martyr Saint Theodora; 6. a contour prores-pattern of the images of Saint martyr Ludmila the princess (signed); 7. a contour prores-pattern of the images of a fragment of a decoration of a book, old-printed type: a tree of life with birds; 8. a contour prores-pattern for an image of the woman lieing during a confession. Snakes and frogs are coming from woman's mouth; 9. a contour prores-pattern of an image for the story: a priest, praying on the doorsteps of a church building with a paradis tree near; 10 a contour prores-pattern: two townsmen and a peasant are talking near a house, there is a Christ's half-figure on a cloud upon the peasant; 11. a contour prores-pattern of an image of an guardian angel coming to a monk; 12. a contour prores-pattern of images of the tsariza Theodora and her husband Theognost in the hell; 13. a contour prores-pattern of images of a church building and a schematic landscape; 14. a contour prores-pattern of the images of an guardian angel, dying man and an icon of Christ; 15. a contour prores-pattern of the images of prophet Daniel with a lion and raven. The manuscript was brought from the village Okulovkskaīā, Kargopol region, Arkhangelsk district.

Подборка включает 4 рисунка и 11 прорисей (образцов изображений для копирования), выполненных 14-летним мальчиком старообрядцем-скрытником Прохором Васильевым Гриневым, который позже погиб во время Второй мировой войны. По содержанию рисунки представляют новозаветные и святоотеческие образы и сюжеты; прориси - частично тот же материал, частично - элементы декора: 1. контурный pисунок, частично небрежно расцвеченный акварелью. Сюжет - Пятидесятница - обозначен в подписи. 2. Контурный рисунок, расцвеченный акварелью. Деисус: Христос Средолет с предстоящим священномучеником «Антипой» (подписан) и великомученицей «Ириной девицей» (подписана), оба с двуперстиями. На обороте листа Богоматерь (подписана). Троеручица с Младенцем Христом. 3. Рисунок простым карандашом, раскрашенный акварелью и цветными карандашами (?). Голубь на ветке с цветком. 4. Контурное чернильное изображение, акварелью, «святого Л[онгина] Сотника» (подписан). 5. Контурная прорись - образец изображений св. Ирины и св. Феодоры. 6. Контурное изображение св. мученицы Людмилы (подписана). 7. Контурная прорись - образец изображения заставки старопечатного типа (вариант древа жизни с птицами). 8. Контурная прорись - образец изображения cюжета из повести о лгавшей на исповеди женщине, у которой изо рта выпадали лягушки и змеи. 8. Контурная прорись - образец изображения к повести «О посте. Но невозможно утаитися от Бога» (подписано): молящийся (?) священник на пороге церковного здания, рядом райское древо. 9. Контурная прорись - образец: на фоне палат два городских жителя, к ним обращается крестьянин, у которого над головой на облачке поясное изображение Христа. 10. Контурная прорись - образец изображения Видения царицы Феодоры: ее умерший муж царь Феогност подвергается адским мукам. 13. Контурная прорись - образец изображения церковного здания на фоне условный пейзаж. 14. Контурная прорись - образец, изображающий сошествие ангела-хранителя к одру умирающего, над изголовьем умирающего на иконе Христос с двумя двуперстными благословениями. На обороте запись: «Псалом 142. Господи возвах услыш…». 15. Контурная прорись - образец изображения пророка Даниил во рву со львом и вороном. Рукопись происходит из деревни Окуловская Каргопольского района.

Condition of original material: The set in 2017 passed chemical and biological examination, and was put in the folder, made with special cardboard.

Custodial history: The set was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1968. Folios were presented by old believer - strannitsa Maria Ivanovna 3.06.1968, an aunt of the painter.
