The Revelation, divided into 72 chapters in accordance with orthodox tradition, has from 1 to 4 different authors' comments on each fragment of text. Each chapter is illustrated by separate miniature, which may be situated on two pages. The manuscript was brought from the village Chernovitsi, Kargopol region, Arkhangelsk district.
Апокалипсис, поделенный на 72 главы по православной традиции, имеет для каждого фрагмента текста от одного до четырех толкований разных авторов. Каждая из глав проиллюстрирована отдельной миниатюрой, иногда расположенной на развороте, т.е. на двух страницах. Рукопись происходит из деревни Черновицы Каргопольского района.
Extent: 1 volume with wood in leather binding containing 230 folios with 62 miniatures in colours.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 23,4 cm, width 18,2 cm, depth 4,2 cm.
Condition of original material: 10 miniatures and several folios at the beginning and the end are lost. The last folio is damaged hardly. All pages have pollutions.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1975. Was presented to A.A. Amosov and U.N. Bubnov by old believer-strannitsa Phamaida Ivanovna Zaleskaǐa, the sister of M.I. Zaleskiǐ.
