The manuscript contains a message from an old believer-strannik Prohor to Kargopol stranniks about the election of Ioann Petrovich as a confessor and a mentor and about necessity of a confession. The problem is connected with an absence of priests in old believers-stranniks community. The manuscript was brought from the village Chernovitsy, Kargopol region, Arkhangelsk district.
В рукописи находится послание старообрядца Прохора каргопольским скрытникам о избрании духовным отцом Иоанна Петровича и о необходимости регулярной исповеди. Актуальность проблемы связана с отсутствием священников в старообрядческом согласии скрытников. Рукопись происходит из деревни Черновицы Каргопольского района.
Extent: A set of 4 not sewed separate folios without a cover.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 17 cm, width 11,4 cm; depth 0,1 cm.
Condition of original material: The folios have spots and tearings on the borders.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1975, v. Chertovitsy, from K.I. Saphonovoǐ.
