Left fragment (A) (P.Cair.Zen. II 59156, TM 804): Fragment of a letter the largest portion of which is preserved in a papyrus now in Cairo (Egyptian Museum CG 59156). Zenon is ordered by Apollonius to take as many pear shoots and young plants as possible from Apollonius's garden and palace in Memphis. In addition, he is asked to get some sweet-apple trees from Hermaphilus and plant them. With docket on the back. Dated 27 December 256 BC.
Right fragment (B) (P.Lond. VII 2079, TM 1640): Fragment of a document, apparently a letter, of which only a few words survive.

Two papyrus fragments that do not belong together, housed in the same glass frame.
Left fragment (A): Light-brown papyrus fragment; broken off at the bottom and right; with the beginnings of 2 lines running across the fibres, upper and left margins on the front; the back bears 2 lines written along the fibres upside down in relation to the text on the front. Another portion of the same papyrus is in Cairo, Egyptian Museum, inventoried as CG 59156.
Right fragment (B): Light-brown; portions of 2 lines running across the fibres, lacking beginnings and ends; with upper margin measuring 30 mm. The back is blank.

Script: A: Chancery hand; different hand for the docket on the back. B: Chancery hand.

- Origin: Alexandria (?), Egypt. Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2305-2434 from Dr Kondilios in July 1921.
