This case relates to a fire which broke out on the 4th March 1906 upon the ship, S.S. Trafalgar, while docked at Karachi and carrying cargo including India Office stores. The ship it was partly flooded to prevent further damage. The shipowners made a claim for a general average contribution towards repairs from the owners of the cargo being transported.
