- Scope & Content:
- Flavius Samuel, son of Colluthus and Cyra, a soldier, acknowledges that he has received from Aurelius Phoebammon, son of Triadelphus, a loan of 18 artabas of corn, on security of the farm let to him. The other debts previously contracted by Samuel remain valid. Subscriptions of Samuel and witnesses are at the end, and the endorsement is on the back.

- Extent:
- Medium-to-dark-brown papyrus sheet with small detached scraps, broken off on the right, and imperfect along the left edge and at the bottom; with writing on both sides. On the front, there are portions of 25 lines written along the fibres; of the last, only a few traces survive; the upper margin is extant, and part of the left margin survives. On the back, there is one line written along the fibres at the top of the sheet, in faded ink. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Dimensions: 280 x 220 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 325 x 310 mm.
Script: Neat and proficient cursive hand of medium size, with occasional slant to the right, same as P.Michael. 43. Different hands for the subscription at the end.

Origin: Aphrodito, Egypt.
Provenance: Aphrodito, Egypt. Acquired with other Michaelides material, including Papyri 3100-3131, in April 1979 and transferred from the Department of Oriental Manuscripts and Printed Books in May 1979. Formerly part of the private collection of Georges Anastase Michaelides (b. 1900, d. 1973), antiquities dealer in Cairo, sold by his heirs after his death, under the inventory number 1412.
