- Scope & Content:
- One-year lease of pasture between the shepherds Aurelius Anouphis, son of Palos and Maria, and Pakouis, son of Ieremias and Thaesia, the lessees, and Aurelius Phoebammon, son of Triadelphus, and Aurelius, Victor, son of Colluthus, all from Aphrodito, the lessors. The lessees undertake to work with their flocks for twenty-five nights in lieu of the rent. With subscriptions of Anouphis and Pakouis written by someone else, and of a witness, and the notary Cyrus.

- Dark-brown papyrus sheet with detached scrap at the bottom; complete but slightly imperfect at the bottom; abraded in the centre; writing on one side. The back is blank. On the front, there are 35 lines written along the fibres; upper and side margins are extant, lower margin imperfect. Folding lines are still visible. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Dimensions: 270 x 145 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 330 x 255 mm.
Script: Proficient cursive hand of medium size, sloping to the right. Two additional hands for the subscriptions in lines 29-34.

Origin: Aphrodito, Egypt.
Provenance: Aphrodito, Egypt. Acquired with other Michaelides material, including Papyri 3100-3131, in April 1979 and transferred from the Department of Oriental Manuscripts and Printed Books in May 1979. Formerly part of the private collection of Georges Anastase Michaelides (b. 1900, d. 1973), antiquities dealer in Cairo, sold by his heirs after his death, under the inventory number 1295.
