The volume contains cases heard by the Commissioner and the Police Magistrate at the Court for the Easy and Speedy Recovery of Small Debts between 7 December 1861 and 13 December 1862. Information is provided on the name of the Commissioner and the Police Magistrate, and the dates on which the cases were heard. The document includes a list of postponed cases. For the cases heard, information is provided on the names of the plaintiff and defendant, the amount of the debt, and whether the defendant confessed to the debt. For each date, the document also lists the writs returned. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards. There is some damage from iron gall.
