The volume contains cases heard by the Commissioner and the Police Magistrate at the Court for the Easy and Speedy Recovery of Small Debts between 16 January 1864 and 17 December 1864. Information is sometimes provided on the names of the Commissioner and the Police Magistrate. Information is included on the dates when the cases were heard. For each case heard, the document includes the names of the plaintiff and defendant, the amount of the debt and whether the case was dismissed. It sometimes includes a statement by the plaintiff. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards. There is extensive damage from iron gall.
