This volume contains cases heard at the Police Office at Freetown by the Police Magistrate between 28 June 1865 and 25 July 1867. The first pages of the document consist of an index that lists all the cases alphabetically by name of the defendant and provides details of the offence. The document includes a transcript of what was said at the Police Office by the Police Magistrate, the plaintiff and the defendant as well as by some witnesses. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards. There is some damage from iron gall.
