This volume contains letters written by the Governor of Sierra Leone between 11 January 1855 and 24 December 1860. Each despatch in the volume includes the date and place it was written, the number of the despatch, the name of the recipient and the signature of the sender. The end of the volume includes a schedule of despatches received and transmitted by the Governor of Sierra Leone and the British Consul General to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. Despatches written in Sierra Leone are included in the volume. The volume is bound in red cloth boards. There is damage from iron gall.
