This volume contains letters written by the Governor of Sierra Leone between 22 December 1859 and 10 September 1860. The despatches in the volume contain information on the date and place of writing, the number of the despatch, the name of the recipient and the signature of the sender. Some pages include a schedule of despatches transmitted by the Governor of Sierra Leone to the Secretary of State for the Colonies. Those despatches are included in the volume. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards. The binding is loose, and the back cover is no longer attached to the volume. There is damage from iron gall, and the paper is brittle.
