The volume records the payment of Police Office Rough Fees and Fines in the Colony between November 1864 and February 1866. The pages in the volume are divided into eight columns providing information on the date, the name of the informant or complainant, the name of the defendant or prisoner, the offence, the time when the offence was committed, whether the case was heard by a Police Magistrate or another Justice, how it was disposed of, additional remarks and the amount of the fine. The occupation of the complainant is sometimes provided. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards. There is extensive water damage on the last pages, as well as mould.
