The volume records the payment of Police Office Rough Fees and Fines in the Colony between 1 January 1867 and 12 June 1868. The pages in the volume are divided into columns providing information on the date, the name of the complainant or plaintiff, the name of the defendant or prisoner, the offence, the rank of the justice who heard the case, how it was disposed of, and the amount of the fines. The volume sometimes includes the initials of the clerk. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards, and there is damage from iron gall throughout.
