The volume contains minutes of cases heard by the Police Magistrate in the Court of Requests for Freetown between 16 April 1881 and 18 March 1882. The first 49 pages consist of a directory of names and the page number where the minutes can be found. For each case, the document provides the number of the summons, the date, and the names of the plaintiffs and defendants. It also indicates whether they appeared in person. It includes the statement of the person present and the judgement. The volume is bound in damaged blue cloth boards. There is damage caused by iron gall in the volume.
