Fragments of letters from the archive of Zenon.
A (P.Lond. VII 2094, TM 1655): Fragment of a letter, another portion of which is preserved in a papyrus now in Florence, published as PSI VI 578. The names of the correspondents are lost.
B (P.Lond. VII 2095, TM 1656): Fragment from the conclusion of a letter, dated between 255 and 247 BC; the names of the correspondents are lost.
C (P.Lond. VII 2096, TM 1657): Fragment of a letter to Zenon, of which little remains; mention of Zenon’s father is made.
D (P.Lond. VII 1989, TM 1551): Conclusion of a letter, presumably sent by someone in the office of Apollonius, finance minister (dioiketes); perhaps related to the instructions sent by Apollonius to Zenon in Papyrus 2686(A) (P.Lond. VII 1990) and P.Mich.Zen. 48, two letters concerned with the dispatch of fowls to Ptolemais. Possibly dated 3 September 251 BC.
E (P.Lond. VII 2097, TM 1658): Fragment of a letter containing a request, but little remains. The names of the correspondents are lost.

Five papyrus fragments that do not belong together, with writing on one side and the back blank, mounted on cardboard in the same glass frame.
A: Fragment of a dark-brown papyrus sheet, complete at the bottom and broken off on the other sides. The front bears the central portions of seven lines running across the fibres; the lower margin survives and measures 33 mm. A papyrus in Florence, published as PSI VI 578, is another fragment of the same sheet.
B: Fragment of a dark-brown papyrus sheet, darkened in places; complete at the bottom, and broken off on all other sides. The front bears six lines written across the fibres, and traces of another line at the top; the lower margin is extant.
C: Fragment of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete at the top and broken off on all other sides; writing on one side. The back is blank. On the front, there are the central portions of three lines from the top of a column running across the fibres. The upper margin is extant.
D: Fragment of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete at the top, and broken off on the other sides; with writing on both sides. On the front, there are the central portions of three lines, running across the fibres; upper margin is extant. On the back, there is one word written along the fibres, upside down in relation to the text on the front.
E: Fragment of a dark-brown papyrus, complete at the bottom and broken off on all other sides. On the front, there are portions of four lines written across the fibres, lacking beginnings and ends. The lower margin measures 35 mm.

Dimensions: A: 110 x 95 mm; B: 110 x 100 mm; C: 40 x 89 mm; D: 90 x 45 mm; E: 87 x 90 mm. Housed in a glass frame measuring 280 x 240 mm.
Script: A: Large, mainly uncial hand. B: Practised hand of chancery type. C: Rough uncial hand. D: Large chancery hand; the date in the last line is written more cursively. E: Large, rather crude uncial hand.

Origin: A-C, E: Arsinoite nome (?), Egypt. D: Alexandria (?), Egypt.
Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. All fragments were purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2305-2434 from Dr A. N. Kondilios in July 1921.
