Upper papyrus (A) (P.Lond. V 1760, TM 38857): Receipt for the payment of one artaba and one third of wheat for the grain-tax (embole) of the 4th indiction, issued by an assistant (boethos). Traces of an earlier text, not fully washed out, are visible on the right.
Lower papyrus (B) (P.Lond. V 1740, TM 38844): Receipt for the payment of four gold carats made for the name of Nonna, daughter of Olympiodorus, by Basileides for his wife on account of public taxes for the first indiction; with subscription of Phoebammon, tax-official (diastoleus), through Victor, tax-collector (apaitetes), at the end.

Two papyrus slips with writing on one side, mounted on cardboard in the same glass frame.
Upper papyrus (A): Medium-brown papyrus sheet, irregularly cut, with darker patches. The front bears three lines running across the fibres, complete; on the right, traces of washed out writing running along the fibres are visible; all margins are extant and irregular.
Lower papyrus (B): Medium-brown papyrus sheet, irregularly cut, with minor abrasion in places. The front bears four lines running across the fibres, complete; all margins are extant and irregular.
