- Scope & Content:
- Nomination in red ink submitted by the village scribe (komogrammateus) of Neilopolis and Soknopaiou Nesos, listing two candidates that qualify for the collection of money taxes for Soknopaiou Nesos, in place of Posis, who has completed his term of office. The selection will be by lot. The names are submitted to the prefect Subatianus Aquila. The back bears the endorsement and remains of the original seal.

- Long and narrow papyrus sheet, medium-brown, with lighter patches; complete, with insect holes and some damage along the folds; written on both sides. On the front, there are seventeen lines written along the fibres in red ink; all margins are extant, the lower being half of the sheet. On the back, there is one line written along the fibres, the sheet having been rotated 90 degrees. Remains of the original seal are visible. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Script: Proficient, rather large cursive hand in red ink, occasionally compressed at the ends of the lines; cursive hand in black ink on the back.

Provenance: Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1200-1520 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 20 November 1903.
