Portion of an official roll.
Column 1, lines 1-6: Letter acknowledging receipt of twenty-four ichneumons, one of which was dead, sent by Claudius Erasus, the strategus of the division of Themistos in the Arsinoite nome. Dated 18 July 104.
Column 1, line 7-end: Letter of Areius to the strategus, referring to a letter sent to the prefect on the subject of the ichneumons, and mentioning another letter concerning measures. Dated 7 August 104.
Traces of a preceding column are visible.
Column 2: Edict of the prefect Gaius Vibius Maximus, announcing the beginning of the census and ordering those temporarily away from their place of registration to return home. Dated between 25 June and 24 July 104.

- Portion of a medium-brown papyrus roll, darker by patches, broken off on the left and right and with holes in the preserved portion; bearing writing on one side. The back is blank. On the front, there are two columns written along the fibres, the second being imperfect. The ends of a few lines from a preceding column are visible. Lower and upper margins survive. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
