Left papyrus (A) (P.Lond. V 1671, TM 36916): Account of tax payments made by the shepherds of Aphrodito.
Right papyrus (B) (P.Lond. V 1668, TM 19689): Order addressed to Ioannes, a tax official (hypodektes), to pay a sum of money corresponding to 48 1/3 carats. The subscriptions of two village heads (protokometai) are at the bottom. Dated in 537-538.

Two papyrus sheets that do not belong together, mounted on cardboard in the same glass frame.
Upper papyrus (A): Two fragments of a long and narrow dark-brown papyrus sheet, written on one side along the fibres. The back is blank. On the front, there are 8 lines occupying the upper part of the sheet, with ample blank space at the bottom.
Lower papyrus (B): Fragment of a dark-brown papyrus sheet, long and narrow, imperfect on the left; with writing on one side, the back being blank. On the front, there are 13 lines written along the fibres and lacking the beginnings. There is ample blank space at the bottom.

Script: A: Neat, upright cursive hand of medium size; B: Neat, upright cursive hand of small size. Two different hands for the subscriptions in the last two lines.
