Two fragmentary leases from the archive of Eutychides, son of Sarapion.
Upper papyrus (A) (P.Sarap. 28, TM 17045): Fragment of a one-year lease of three plots of land, for a total of twenty-seven and half aruras; the lessor is Phibion, son of Ptolemaeus, and the lessee is Anubion, son of Sarapion. The right-hand portion of the papyrus is at the Institut für Papyrologie in Heidelberg, inventoried as P. G 200 a. Dated between August and September 125.
Lower papyrus (B) (P.Sarap. 22(a), TM 17039): Fragment of a one-year lease of two plots of land, for a total of eighteen and half aruras; the names of the parties are lost, but the lessor is a woman, acting with a guardian. Dated in 102 or 103.

Two papyrus fragments that do not belong together, mounted on cardboard in the same glass frame.
Upper papyrus (A): Upper left corner of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, written on one side along the fibres. The front bears the beginnings of 11 lines from the top of a column, and traces of another line at the bottom. Left and upper margins survive. The back is blank. A fragment now in Heidelberg, Institut für Papyrologie, inventoried as P. G 200 a, preserves the right-hand portion of the papyrus.
Lower papyrus (B): Medium-brown papyrus fragment, broken off at the bottom, lacking the upper right corner, and displaying some surface damage; written on one side along the fibres. The front bears 16 lines, and a scant trace of a further line at the bottom. Parts of the upper, right and left margins survive. A sheet-join runs vertically along the right edge. The back is blank.

Script: A: Neat upright semi-cursive hand, with well-spaced letterforms. B: Rapid cursive hand, with a slight slant to the right.

Provenance: Hermopolis (El-Ashmunein), Hermopolite nome. Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 835-878 by the executors of William Joseph Myers, F. S. A., (b. 1858, d. 1899) through R. Taylor in 1900.
