Fragment of a contract for a lease of land for a period of two years, the lessee being a farmer from a Hermopolite village, and the lessor being from Hermopolis. The tenant has the right to sow whatever crops he chooses. The rent is 19 carats.

Upper right corner of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, with a few holes; written on one side along the fibres. The ends of 12 lines from a top of a column survive; the back is blank. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
